🔸In the early game when the Occultist does not yet have access to his entire skillset, his main roles in battles are applying Negative Tokens on enemies to reduce their combat efficiency or healing allies on critical condition. (no access to various skills: Daemon's Pull, Binding Shadows, The Burning Stars, and Abyssal Artillery) (access to most skills, Sacrificial Stab usable on Rank 3, no access to Anamnesis) (access to all skills, Abyssal Artillery usable on Rank 3, Anamnesis usable on Rank 2) Cause Targets to receive random DOTs after taking damage.Damage Dealer ( Physical, Bleed, Blight, Burn).Supporter ( Combo, Negative Tokens, Pull enemies).Healing is Unreliable and Can Inlict Bleed.Some Skills require Unchecked Power to work.Risky Playstyle, Can Receive Damage from Certain Skills.Can Pull Back-Rank Targets and Clear Corpse.Unchecked Power Enables Powerful Skills.The following Paths are unique to the Occultist. Each Hero has access to 3 shared Paths ( Wanderer, Apprentice, Master) and 2 unique Paths available only to them. 🔸 All Heroes start the expedition with a random Hero Path. Unchecked Power is a special Token, and as such, is not affected by skills or combat items that affect Positive or Negative Tokens, such as Plague Doctor's Indiscriminate Science or Holy Water. The Burn effect can be negated by the Occultist's Burn Resistance. There is a 33% chance to apply a Burn effect ( 1) to himself for each Token of Unchecked Power present at the beginning of each round, and can stack up to 3 times.
Certain skills of the Occultist are empowered by Unchecked Power Tokens, and consume 2 of said Tokens when used. 🔸The Occultist has several skills that apply Unchecked Power Tokens to himself. All other skills must be unlocked through the Shrine of Reflection, after which they are permanently available for subsequent playthroughs. 🔸The Occultist will always start each run equipped with Sacrificial Stab, Abyssal Artillery, Weakening Curse, Wyrd Reconstruction, and Daemon's Pull.
